TOP 5 MOST ROMANTIC DESTINATIONS IN EUROPE TO FALL IN LOVE AGAIN
Paris, France – The City of Love
We all know Paris as the city of love, but why is it one of the most romantic destinations in Europe? What makes it so special? Keep reading, and soon you will know everything about it!
First of all, Paris is full of intimate and picturesque neighborhoods where you can wander hand in hand with your other half. Discover the narrow cobbled streets, hidden art galleries, and beautiful viewpoints all around the city.
Second, Paris is known for its many bridges crossing the Seine River. Picture this: You’re with your partner, watching the sunset from one of the most famous bridges in Paris. The sun is reflecting on the river, and the bateaux-mouches are passing by slowly… Can it get any more magical than that?
If you’re into cultural activities, Paris is also the best place for that! Attend a show in a small theater, visit a temporary exhibition, or go to a museum—there’s even a museum called the Musée de la Vie Romantique (Museum of Romantic Life). I promise, you won’t have time to get bored in Paris. Not only is it one of the most romantic cities, but it’s also one of the most vibrant and lively!
Last but not least… the food! Whether you’re looking for a romantic tête-à-tête in a fancy restaurant, a cute lunch at a café, or a picnic with a view of the Eiffel Tower, Paris will provide!
Now, to help you plan your trip to the city of love, take a look at the most romantic—and hidden—spots in Paris!
MOST ROMANTIC SPOTS IN PARIS
If your plan is to take your partner to one of the most romantic destinations in Europe, you’re probably searching for intimate spots. But nothing is less romantic than being surrounded by tourists while you’re trying to create a special moment with your other half. That’s why I’m going to share my three favorite romantic spots in Paris that are less known to tourists!
Keep in mind that Paris is a very popular destination and is considered one of the most romantic cities in the world. While you might not have these spots entirely to yourselves, I promise they’ll be far less crowded than the Eiffel Tower or the Jardin des Tuileries!
- Le Mur des Je t’aime à Montmartre (I Love You Wall): In the heart of Montmartre, in Square Jehan Rictus, you’ll find this blue wall covered with “Je t’aime” written in more than 250 languages. Take your partner there for a quiet, romantic break. Believe me, it’s the perfect place to declare your love and show them how much they mean to you!
- Le Jardin des Serres d’Auteuil (Serres d’Auteuil Gardens): Hidden in the Bois de Boulogne, this botanical garden offers the perfect blend of intimacy and exoticism. Stroll around the greenhouses and soak in the tranquility and lush surroundings.
- La Passerelle Debilly (Debilly Footbridge): Less known than other Parisian bridges, this spot offers one of the best views of the Eiffel Tower and the Seine River. Head there at sunset to make the most of this magical and romantic moment.
UNIQUE ROMANTIC EXPERIENCES IN PARIS
Now, let’s dive into the most unique romantic experiences in Paris. A word of warning: some of these can be expensive and can quickly add up. But if you’re on a budget, don’t worry! Picnics, long walks, and intimate moments are also fantastic ways to discover Paris—one of the most romantic destinations in Europe!
If you’re considering booking a boat tour, I highly recommend opting for a promenade on the Canal Saint-Martin. Far less touristy than other routes in the French capital, the tranquil atmosphere will allow you to enjoy a much more intimate moment with your loved one.
Now, if your goal is to truly impress your partner with this romantic getaway, I have the perfect activity for you. Ready? This one will blow your mind!
A hot air balloon ride! You can soar above the Parc André Citroën in Paris. From up there, you’ll see all the iconic monuments. It doesn’t get any more romantic than that… but it does come with a cost, so it might not be for everyone.
For the foodies, romance often goes through their taste buds (I’m that kind of romantic too). To share a special moment with your partner, book a table for a private dinner in a historic wine cellar. Not only will you enjoy the best cuisine, but you’ll also sample the finest French wines in an intimate setting.
Finally, as previously mentioned, Paris is one of the best romantic destinations even on a budget. Explore the city’s covered passages—like Passage des Panoramas or the Galerie Vivienne. These hidden galleries, filled with small shops, cafés, and ancient bookstores, are the perfect spots for a romantic moment that won’t cost you much.
Prague, Czech Republic – A Fairytale Romance

Whether you’re seeking an intimate experience or a mysterious adventure, Prague is one of the most romantic places to visit in Europe.
I visited Prague with friends years ago, and I would love to go back there with my partner. Imagine strolling hand in hand through hidden gardens like the Vrtba Garden, surrounded by ancient sculptures and blooming terraces.
For those intrigued by local legends, the Vysehrad district is the perfect place. Not only does the fortress offer stunning panoramic views of the city—especially romantic at sunset—but this less-touristy spot also provides a sense of intimacy and quiet.
To complete your romantic getaway in Prague, consider a cruise on the Vltava River. The tour will showcase all the city’s most iconic monuments. If you go at night, the lights will create a magical atmosphere, perfect for declaring your love.

MOST ROMANTIC SPOTS IN PRAGUE
Now that you know Prague is one of the most romantic cities to visit with your loved one, you might want to discover the most unique and romantic spots there. Here are my three favorites. While there may be some tourists when you visit, these locations should still be quieter than other parts of the city!
Keep reading and start planning!
- Petřín Hill: Accessible by cable car—or on foot for the more adventurous—Petřín Hill offers panoramic views of the entire city! Stroll through the gardens, explore the mirror maze, climb the Petřín Tower… Just enjoy the moment in this unique place with your partner and connect like never before.
- Kampa Island: Located on the Vltava River, just below the Charles Bridge, Kampa Island is a haven of peace in the heart of a busy city like Prague. Walk along the canals—also known as the “Little Venice”—or have a picnic in one of the parks. How can it get more romantic and intimate than that?
- Strahov Monastery: Perched on a hill, this monastery not only offers scenic views but also provides a peaceful retreat to share with your partner. Visit the baroque library and explore the monastery gardens. Since this place isn’t as popular among tourists, you won’t have trouble finding an intimate spot to share a romantic moment with your other half.
UNIQUE ROMANTIC EXPERIENCES IN PRAGUE
One of the best things about Prague—other than being one of the most romantic destinations in Europe—is that there are tons of things to do, and for all budgets! So even if you can’t spend a lot of money, you can still enjoy a romantic getaway with your partner.
Boat rides, carriage rides, and hot air balloon rides are the most extravagant experiences you could book for your partner in Prague. These options do come with a cost, but believe me, if you want to impress your partner or are celebrating a special occasion, there’s nothing more romantic than that.
For those on a lower budget, don’t worry! You can still enjoy one of the most romantic getaways there.
My favorite activity to do with your loved one is to attend a candlelit concert in a chapel. Nothing could be more romantic, and to make it even more special, try to find a less popular chapel. With the abundance of chapels in Prague, you shouldn’t have trouble finding a hidden gem to make your experience even more unique.
And for the wine lovers, why not book a wine tasting on one of Prague’s secret rooftops?
Picture this: you’re sitting with your partner, tasting delicious wine while gazing at Prague’s skyline. If you’re lucky and the sky is clear, you might even be able to watch the stars. I told you, Prague is one of the most romantic destinations in Europe!

Romance is everywhere in Bruges, which is why it’s one of the most romantic destinations in Europe to visit with your partner! But if you’re looking for unique places to share special moments, here are my top three picks! Get ready to fall in love all over again…
- Minnewater (The Lake of Love): If you’re seeking a peaceful spot for a walk or a picnic with your significant other, this is the place! Surrounded by lush greenery, this lake is the most serene location in the city. Named after a tragic love story, Minnewater has become one of the most romantic spots in Bruges, where couples go to share quiet and intimate moments. So, what are you waiting for? Add it to your itinerary!
- Rozenhoedkaai (Rosary Quay): This one isn’t a hidden gem, but you can’t visit Bruges with your partner and not stop here. Head to Rozenhoedkaai at sunset and enjoy watching the medieval houses’ reflections on the canal. The light at this time of day creates the most romantic atmosphere, making it a perfect way to start your evening.
- Begijnhof (Bruges’s Beguinage): Away from the tourist crowds, this is the ideal place to wander hand-in-hand with your partner, soaking in the peace and quiet. This haven of tranquility, built in the 13th century, is known as a peaceful and spiritual retreat. If you’re searching for a quiet spot, you won’t find anything better!
UNIQUE ROMANTIC EXPERIENCES IN BRUGES
Bruges is known to be quite expensive, so naturally, activities there can come with a cost. But don’t worry! As always, I’m going to share some free and low-budget activities with you too.
After all, love isn’t measured by money—you can still have the time of your life on your romantic getaway without breaking the bank!
For those with a bigger budget, there are a few activities that will surely impress your other half on your romantic getaway. Helicopter tours over one of the most romantic cities, private dinners on the most exclusive rooftop in Bruges, or a night’s stay in the historic tower of the city… These come with a cost, but if you’re celebrating a special occasion, they are experiences that you both will never forget!
To still impress your partner on a lower budget, a private carriage ride through the hidden alleys seems to be the best option in my opinion.
Now, if you’re on a tight budget but want to feel the romance, don’t worry! I have a few low-cost and free experiences for you!
Attend an intimate concert at the 13th-century church, rent a small rowing boat and pack a picnic with local treats, explore the secret gardens of Bruges, or even go for a midnight walk along the canals.
As I said before: love isn’t measured by money. No matter how much you spend, there’s always a way to feel the romance in Bruges.

Be aware, though… Life there is expensive, so if you’re looking for a low-budget vacation, Reykjavik might not be for you!

Imagine this… You’re having a drink in Iceland with the love of your life, watching the northern lights through the glass roof. How could it get more romantic than that?
